Pecan Pie Bark
I'm grateful to have been invited to many Christmas parties and these Pecan Pie Barks were a huge hit! It gives the taste of pecan pie without the need for a fork. It also takes 10 minutes to make to prep and 10 minutes to cook.
P.S This is not a high protein dessert but can still be enjoyed!
Pecan Pie Bark
12-13 graham crackers
2 sticks of butter
1 tbsp of vanilla
1 cup of brown sugar
2 cups of chopped pecans
Dash of salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a cookie sheet with foil or parchment paper. Lightly butter it with the paper that held the sticks of butter.
Fit the graham crackers in the bottom of the cookie sheet, breaking or trimming them if needed to make them fit.
Add the butter, brown sugar, pecans and salt to a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for two minutes, stirring constantly, and remove from heat.
Add vanilla and mix.
Immediately pour the hot mixture over the graham crackers. Spread the mixture to the edges of pan, covering all the graham crackers with the mixture. Make sure the pecans are evenly distributed.
Bake for approximately 10 minutes until mixture is bubbling up on top.
Allow bark to completely cool before breaking into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
Enjoy. Remember, progress is exciting! Tag me when you make them.
